Team Manager

The Team Manager is responsible for effectively managing and leading a team of employees and communicating the company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to the team. S/he is also responsible for motivating team members and assessing performance and provides assistance to management, including hiring and training, and keeps management updated on team performance. The Team Manager will work to identify all the necessary elements and clarifications required to deliver a high-quality product to our clients. S/he will determine the most efficient production workflow, meet with the Supervisors and team leaders, set the production process in motion, and oversee its completion. This position mainly manages the team; providing support and mentorship for all aspects of their work.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manages the coordination of all work for the team in the hub office
  • Prepares and implements workflows to best coordinate production activities; to ensure quality meets client requirements
  • Focuses on relationship building with internal and external resources
  • Manages employee and contractor schedules to ensure coordinators can efficiently and appropriately assign work
  • Liaises and initiates interdepartmental interaction globally to solve challenges proactively
  • Participates in shaping, testing, and implementing new systems and software; such as scheduling and subtitling tools
  • Regularly and accurately invoice contractors and vendors in a timely fashion
  • Encourages team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks
  • Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training
  • Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance
  • Develops strategies to promote team members' adherence to company regulations and performance goals
  • Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
  • Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines
  • Manages daily operations and offers creative solutions to meet the required client/customer satisfaction
  • Creates effective productivity dashboards to update the company on the team’s progress
  • Delegates work assignments to the appropriate team member
  • Ensures achievement of the team’s goals and creates action items to consistently improve the team’s performance

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising, or any related field
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of work experience in a related field or industry
  • Fluent in English both in written and spoken
  • High attention to details
  • Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding communication and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, exercising diplomacy and sound judgment
  • Must have experience handling team and team’s performance
  • Good mentor and coach to inspire positive work output
  • Amenable to work in shifting schedule
