David Lee is the Founder and CEO of Iyuno-SDI Group.
David Lee is the Founder and CEO of Iyuno-SDI Group, responsible for the strategy and integration of the leading entertainment technology and localization company with the largest global footprint. Lee founded Iyuno Media Group in 2002, using free software to create subtitles for Korean DVD companies.
With the rise of cable TV, David pivoted and developed MediaTrans, a platform to deliver automated subtitles files directly into cable broadcaster edit workflows and swiftly secured 90% of the Korean subtitling market. Lee relocated the company to Singapore in 2006 to penetrate the market across Southeast Asia. Responding to market advances, Lee reimagined MediaTrans into a cloud-based subtitling platform to store and manage content, known today as iMEDIATRANS – facilitating the creation and active management of subtitling projects on web browsers anywhere in the world. In 2019 Iyuno merged with Europe localizer BTI Studios and in 2021 acquired rival SDI Media. It is now the largest global provider of dubbing, subtitling, access and media services in over 100 languages for every type of content distribution platform.
Lee has earned many awards for his work, most recently being named the 2019 EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Singapore by professional services organization Ernst & Young.
Mark stepped into the position as President of Iyuno-SDI Group following Iyuno's acquisition of SDI Media.
Mark Howorth is the President of Iyuno-SDI Group, responsible for overseeing customer-facing activities including global revenue, sales, marketing and communications. Prior to the recent acquisition of SDI Media by Iyuno, Howorth was the CEO of SDI Media. He led the global provider of localization services from 2016 through a period of growth, overseeing its operations across 24 countries, including the opening of the Tokyo office, expansion of the European operation, and negotiating the acquisition by Iyuno Media Group.
Howorth joined SDI Media in 2016, bringing almost three decades of experience to the team. He has held a number of C-level positions in the M&E industry. He was the COO of Panavision, the leading supplier of cameras & lenses for cinema. He was also the CEO of National Mobile Television, a Los Angeles-based provider of television production trucks and OB vans. He was also a Partner with management consulting firm Bain & Company in the Media/Technology practice.
Currently based out of Los Angeles, Mark has a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
As Chief Operations Officer, Alberto Abisso oversees all aspects of the company’s infrastructure.
In his role, Alberto brings his decades of experience in operations management to the global organization, providing a common operational model and focus on operational alignment and fulfillment excellence across the combined company. The Regional and Local Operations leaders across Europe, Asia, and the Americas all report to Alberto. The VP of Operations (EU) also reports to Alberto as the second in command for Europe focused on strategic initiatives, improvements and change management.
Alberto Abisso joined Iyuno-SDI Group (formerly SDI Media) in 2010 and brought 15 years of valuable experience to the European Operations Team as the EVP of Operations, Europe. Prior to Iyuno-SDI Alberto held a number of management positions including MD and VP of Operations at Greenfield Online, an innovative company pioneering online market research and comparison shopping portals, as well as European Service Manager at APC by Schneider Electric, and was also a Research and Development Engineer at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), where he was awarded multiple patents as an inventor. He has a proven track record of driving operational success within complex international organizations; building strong cross-cultural teams and helping companies achieve their full potential through strategic focus and operational improvement.
Alberto is fluent in four languages and holds a Master’s degree in electrical engineering, graduating cum laude from Politecnico Di Milano, where he also worked for 5 years.
As Chief Client Officer, Stella Yoo oversees all aspects of the company’s client operations teams and growth.
As Chief Client Officer, Stella Yoo oversees all aspects of the company’s client operations teams and growth. In this role, Stella is based in the US with an acute focus on ensuring that the Global Client operations teams and Local Client operations teams are working under a single leader, with optimized communications and overall customer experience at the center of it all. Yoo plays an instrumental part in streamlining and enhancing Iyuno-SDI Group's operations.
Stella Yoo joined the former Iyuno Media Group as a subtitle translator as one of only a handful of employees during the company’s infancy in 2004. Having been with Iyuno for over a decade, Yoo brings her passion for the company and its vision to provide leadership to the larger team. Yoo strives to ensure that Iyuno-SDI employees find and develop their talent, passion, career, and dreams. Ultimately, Yoo believes localization brings worlds together and helps audiences understand different cultures. In the early years of Iyuno Media Group, Yoo’s role was primarily focused on leading the subtitles team at the company, as well as supporting the finance and sales teams. However, Yoo’s role and responsibility both increased when she moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2011 to set up Iyuno Media Group’s first global office - where she lived and operated out of for nearly five years while helping to grow the office into what is currently Iyuno-SDI’s second-largest facility. Yoo was promoted to Chief Operations Officer and now serves in the newly created role of Chief Client Officer.
Juno Yoon brings in-depth financial knowledge and experience in investment banking, focusing on group strategy and vision, investor relations and M&A as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer.
Yoon is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the Iyuno-SDI’s organic and inorganic growth strategies, helping to establish the company’s foundation and structure following the mega-merger amongst 3 companies: Iyuno Media Group, BTI Studios and SDI Media. Yoon has also led all previous financing rounds at Iyuno-SDI.Prior to Iyuno-SDI, Yoon served a number of key roles at various high-profile investment banks over 14 years – most recently as Executive Director for the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley. During his investment banking tenure, Yoon advised numerous clients on high-profile M&A and capital markets transactions, including the Carlyle Group’s $2.8B sale of ADT Caps, $437 million private placement of Kakao Mobility and $1 billion IPO of ING Life Korea, amongst others. Prior to that, Yoon served as VP of Investment Banking at Citigroup Global Markets and as an Associate in the Investment Banking Division at Deutsche Bank.
As Co-Chief Financial Officer, Andrew Court oversaw financial operations during the company’s acquisition of SDI Media.
Court lends his expertise in strategy definition & execution, private investor/shareholder and bank relations and M&A management to Iyuno-SDI Group – bringing a lengthy resume of over 30 years of experience as a highly-accomplished commercial CFO for PE-backed businesses with extensive operating, strategic, and business development experience in UK and international technology and managed services businesses.
Court joined Iyuno-SDI Group in 2018 from tech and cloud-based solutions provider Agilisys, where he also served as CFO role at the company. Prior to that, Court served as CFO for several other high-profile companies within the tech, broadcast and media sector including Investis, Red Bee Media, Viatel Group and more. Having worked for industry leaders within the broadcast media and telecommunications sectors Court will be working together with Iyuno-SDI Group CEO, David Lee, and President, Mark Howorth, to oversee the finances and investments of the company as it moves forward in the next phase of growth for the business. Court is based in the UK, working out of the London office. He is married with three children, a die-hard Liverpool supporter, a keen runner and cyclist and occasionally finds the time to get away from it all in his 1964 VW camper.
Dan joined Iyuno-SDI Group in 2011, bringing with him a history of achievements in financial reporting, cash management, operations, financial planning & analysis, and audit & compliance.

Prior to joining Iyuno-SDI, Dan held several finance positions including Executive Director Theatrical Marketing and Distribution at Paramount Pictures, Business Manager at Comcast Corporation, and Auditor at PWC. He was promoted to CFO in 2020. He is an active CPA member, bringing 20 years of finance and accounting-related experience.
As Chief Information Officer, Allan Dembry oversees all aspects of Iyuno-SDI Group’s information technology. Dembry joined Iyuno-SDI Group in 2019.
Dembry is focused on developing industry-leading information technologies practices and workstreams that will underpin the continued growth at Iyuno-SDI Group coming off the heels of Iyuno's recent acquisition of SDI Media. Dembry is a technology executive with 20 years of experience building teams and delivering solutions within the media sector. Designing and implementing a widespread of technical solutions from software to infrastructure.
Prior to Iyuno-SDI, Dembry served as CTO at On Demand Group (ODG), a company connecting content owners and video distributors to deliver media to viewers, where he managed application development, data warehousing and business intelligence solutions. After ODG was re-branded to Vubiquity, Dembry’s role changed to CIO where he was the technology lead for all aspects of software development and oversaw the IT infrastructure, support, software development, data warehousing & business intelligence solutions, and the company’s hosted video on demand (VOD) platforms. During this role he integrated disparate technology teams and solutions across US and UK post-acquisition between Avail-TVN and On Demand Group and successfully launched multiple OTT full end-to-end VOD consumer services, delivering Vubiquity’s first white-labeled direct-to-consumer services. Prior to ODG, Dembry held various technical and business roles at Pilat Media, Rebus Media and Peterborough Software.
Dembry holds a BA degree in History and English from Nottingham Trent University.
Scott Rose joined Iyuno-SDI (formerly SDI Media) in 2000 and helped transformed the small theatrical localization vendor into an industry-leading, global enterprise over the course of 20 years.
Scott Rose joined Iyuno-SDI (formerly SDI Media) in 2000 as part of the Gelula Inc. acquisition where he was instrumental in professionalizing and transforming a small theatrical localization vendor into an industry-leading, global enterprise over the course of 20 years. As CTO of Iyuno-SDI, Scott's focus is on developing next-generation production systems and automation technologies utilizing cloud-based workspaces, AI and Machine Learning.
Scott has spent the past 35 years in all facets of the entertainment production and post-production sectors and has worked very closely with technology company's like Texas Instruments, Sony, Toshiba, Apple, Microsoft as well as SMPTE and EBU Standards Groups to provide guidance and bridge the knowledge gap for what it takes to deliver content into over 60 territories. While leading the IT and R&D teams over the course of his tenure, Rose has brought technology innovation to every content delivery system from Packaged Media, Digital Cinema, Broadcast, VOD to the more recent digital OTT platforms. The technologies he has developed span the workflows and tools development across Subtitling, Access Services, Voice Dubbing, Script Management, Machine Translation, Metadata and Media Services.
He holds a BA in Fine Arts from UCLA.
Sarah Greene joined Iyuno-SDI Group as Chief People Officer (CPO) in June 2019, overseeing all of the key human resources responsibilities for the company.
Sarah Greene joined Iyuno-SDI (formerly Iyuno Media Group) as Chief People Officer (CPO) in June 2019, overseeing all of the key human resources responsibilities for the company - including but not limited to recruiting and talent acquisitions, developing employee programs and company culture, executing team building events and helping to drive the company’s overall growth and employee satisfaction.
Greene brings nearly 15 years of human resources experience to the role, having most recently served as the Vice President of HR for Centerfield Media. Prior to that, she served as the Senior Manager, HR at Tel4esign Corporation, as well as the Employee Relations Manager at EnerNOC Inc., prior to that. Greene has received merit as a Senior Certified Human Resources Professional from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is based in Los Angeles.
Iyuno-SDI Group has appointed Nick Mills as the acting Chief Human Resources Officer, leading the human resources business partner teams globally.
Nick Mills leads the HR business partner teams globally as well as the Learning & Development organization for the newly merged Iyuno-SDI Group. His operational and business transformation experience is invaluable in helping instill Iyuno-SDI’s core values as we embrace change across the teams. Nick also works closely with Chris Carey, EVP of Marketing, Communications and Corporate Development to effectively manage the company's internal communications.
Nick was previously the Group's Chief Transformation Officer, responsible for driving change as we continue to remodel the business to suit customer needs. Prior to that, Nick was a Management Consultant, working with private equity-backed businesses and some of the best-known publishing brands in the UK. He has also served in senior leadership roles where he became accustomed to change, evolving markets and creating value through innovative business models.
As the EVP Marketing, Communications and Corporate Development, Chris Carey oversees global marketing, communications and Business Development of Media Engineering Services (MES) for Iyuno-SDI Group.
Carey is driving Iyuno-SDI Group’s global marketing and communications strategies by lending his years of expertise in the content world to engage clients and partners in discussions about the future of content and localization. He is working in close collaboration with the Media Engineering Services (MES) team to provide the Business Developments teams with sales support to build new MES opportunities.
Chris brings nearly two decades of experience to his role at the former Iyuno Media Group, having joined the company from Verizon Media, where he held the position of CRO and Head of Business Development and Strategy for their Digital Media Services business unit - helping monetize and grow the digital media platform. Prior to Verizon, Carey served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Technical Operations at Paramount Pictures, where he oversaw all technical and post-production services, archiving and restoration programs and established the technology strategy and content protection policies for the famed studio. Carey also served the role of CMO and CTO at Technicolor, bringing together the company’s marketing efforts with its technology offering during a very important time in the company’s history. Prior to Technicolor Carey spent more than 16 years at Walt Disney Studios in charge of Worldwide Technical Services and major initiatives including the formation of the DVD production group.
Carey is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and has been a member of Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE), Cinema Audio Society (CAS), and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). He has served on the Board of Directors for the DVD Copy Control Association (DVD CCA), DVD Forum, Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA), Digital Cinema Initiatives, LLC (DCI), and the Advanced Access Content System (AACS).
As SVP Operations, Brian Fowler oversees all aspects of the company’s infrastructure in the Americas regions.
Brian joined Iyuno-SDI Group (formerly SDI Media) in 2003 in the Subtitling Production team. From there he transitioned to the training department, which fell under Human Resources. He eventually took ownership of HR activities in the US, Canada and Mexico. In 2009 he shifted his focus to customers and took a role as an Account Director, servicing most of the US-based customers. In 2013 he became VP of US Operations and in 2016 was promoted to SVP of Operations, Americas. In 2021, Brian’s responsibilities expanded to include operations of the former Iyuno Media Group's America facilities as well.
As SVP Operations, Joan Kan oversees all aspects of the company’s infrastructure in the APAC region.
Joan Kan joined Iyuno-SDI Group (formerly Iyuno Media Group) as an operations manager in its Malaysia office in 2015. Having worked in television production for nearly a decade, Kan brings her passion for content, culture and language. Kan strives to ensure that Iyuno-SDI’s localization business continues to combine the beauty of connecting people through global content. Ultimately, Kan believes that overcoming language barriers through localization makes content accessible to everyone around the world. In previous years of her career, Kan began as a production assistant and shifted to localization in 2008. Joan was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations of the Asia-Pacific region, which is the position she now occupies at Iyuno-SDI Group.
