They are; Cara Edney an audio localization dialogue writer from the United Kingdom, Gabriela Pelliccia a Spanish Language Dialogue Director from Argentina and Raissa Duboc a linguist from Portugal.
These three professionals will participate in the year-long professional development program designed to enhance both their craft skills as well as their overall commercial understanding of the broader entertainment industry. In November, the fellows will all travel to Hollywood to begin the program. This year’s fellowship is sponsored by Iyuno-SDI Group and their CEO personally reached out to each recipient earlier in the week to congratulate the newly selected fellows.
“I’m extremely proud of the EGA member companies for creating this opportunity to help develop the future leaders of our industry. In an industry where much of the workforce are independent professionals, it’s essential we develop this talent,” said Chris Fetner, EGA’s Managing Director.
Upon completion of the program, these professionals will become permanent EGA Fellows and help to evolve and shape the future Fellowship activities. The selected candidates went through a rigorous selection process which included several rounds of review, a purpose statement review, professional references, and a final selection committee interview.
“We had so many highly qualified localization professionals apply this year, but I do feel our process was very selective and this fellowship class represents the absolute best applicants,” said Fetner.
