Project (Language) Coordinator

The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the project teams in managing resources and information and assisting with scheduling and planning meetings and project activities. The Project Coordinator includes roles that require expertise in a specific area, such as quality checking and vendor management.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensures all incoming projects are appropriately checked for errors in the proxy and scripts
  • Determines the team’s capacity for proper project assignments
  • Guarantees the quality of all projects to be delivered by performing complete quality assurance checks based on the guidelines stated by the client/s
  • Coordinates with company vendors (Freelancers) with regards to their training, feedback, project assignments, and work order creation (invoice) or checking/validation, when necessary
  • Schedules internal staff and FL work daily, prepares work materials for editors, publishing QC’ed subs, and maintains trackers and production sheet
  • Manages project files from Project Managers or Global Directors; Coordinates liaises and monitors production with Freelancers or external resources
  • Provides assistance to the editors regarding technical matters regarding work materials, editing tools, file conversions, and do quick fixes for things like timing and display errors
  • Performs time code adjustment and spot checking of post-language QC files, and QC work
  • Observes compliance to defined company policies, procedures, and guidelines and drives continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Advertising, Journalism, Linguistics, Mass Communications, or its equivalent.
  • 2 to 3 years experience in a related field; Experience in writing is a plus; Experience in captioning / subtitling is a plus
  • Fluent in English both in written and spoken
  • Highly analytical and meticulous
  • High attention to details
  • Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Amenable to work in shifting schedule

  • Maintain an effective communication channel with the team members and concerned freelancers
  • Develop a harmonious relationship with the concerned stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of project/s
