IT Manager

The IT Manager is responsible for maintaining reliable, secure and efficient data network communications. He is also responsible for configuration, maintaining and monitoring of all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operations. He will also provide support and solutions to the operations 24/7 when issues arises.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer information technologies, computer systems and network servers and firewall
  • Supports, configures, maintains and upgrades corporate network and server of online protection and system antivirus;
  • Designs, develops, implements and coordinates IT systems, policies and procedures;
  • Installs and integrates new server hardware and applications;
  • Ensures network security and connectivity;
  • Monitors network performance in terms of availability and utilization and test for weakness;
  • Set-ups user accounts, permissions and passwords;
  • Resolves problems reported by the end-user;
  • Investigate, diagnose and solve computer software and hardware faults
  • Defines network policies and procedures;
  • Specifies system problems and designs solutions;
  • Keeps active directory updated and confidential;
  • Audits systems and assesses their outcomes to be used for decision-making;
  • Preserves assets, information security and control structures;
  • Ensure security and integrity of data, network access, backup and servers
  • Maintains records of software license; and
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Take ownership of internal employees’ issues reported and see problems through to resolution
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve issues
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
  • Ensure proper recording and closure of all issues
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to employees
  • Provide IT daily reports to your superior

Capabilities and Skills

  • Language proficiency : English
  • Proven working experience in enterprise technical support, IT support or as a technical engineer
  • Advanced knowledge of computer OS, software, equipments
  • Excellent Windows, Mac troubleshooting ability

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System and other related courses
  • Work Experience: 5 years' experience in network administration and managerial role
  • Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
  • Experience with firewalls, internet VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
  • Ability to set-up and configure server hardware
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Knowledgeable in iMac and Macbook
  • Amenable to work in shifting schedule

Expectations and Output

  • Optimizing network to prevent from operational downtime
  • Updating of IT-related reports to be used for decision-making
  • Conducts internal security audit in preparation for the external audit of the company
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team to ensure that everyone are made aware of the IT policies and procedures
