Account Manager/Team Leader

As Account Manager/Team Leader in our Subtitling team, you are accountable for the training, development and performance management of all employees within his or her assigned team, and you work closely together with the editors to assure employees receive sufficient feedback. The Account Manager/Team Leader is also accountable for retaining and growing client relationships and orchestrates the production lifecycle.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Understanding the guidelines associated with clients and training internal teams to meet these requirements.
  • Ensure team members understand client and organisational requirements and deliver the expected outcomes.
  • Be the first point of contact for team members regarding work-related issues and assist if needed.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the team.
  • Coach and help develop team members; provide support, recognise accomplishments and help resolve dysfunctional behaviour.
  • Foster a positive working environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
  • Ensure that all relevant assets are delivered in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with our Service Agreement.
  • Oversee and ensure accurate billing in accordance with the terms of our Service Agreement.
  • Provide revenue/cost information and/or forecast in a timely manner at the end of each month to local management.
  • Review work processes for areas of improvement in production efficiency. Make sure workloads are manageable and evenly distributed.
  • Monitor staff performance through Production Sheets and Quality Assessments.
  • Identify and communicate customers’ needs and new business opportunities to the local management to ensure growth attainment.
  • Prepare price proposals in preparation of contract negotiations with clients, to support the Operations Manager.

Capabilities and Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Dutch and French;
  • Strong people management skills;
  • Positive attitude and a teamplayer;
  • Background in media localization is essential;
  • Good knowledge of the Belgium media and localization industry, existing network with (potential/existing) clients is a plus.
  • Experience in an international matrix organization is preferred;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong communication skills and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
