Manager, Dubbing

The Manager, Dubbing Operations is responsible for an effective managing and coordinating projects throughout the life cycle of projects as well as building and developing a team that will consist of project coordinators and script editors. The position requires a high degree of responsibility, leadership, decision-making ability and self-sufficiency. S/he is also responsible for motivating team members and assesses performance and provides assistance to management, including hiring and training, and keeps management updated on team performance.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages the team including setting and implementing team goals and strategies;
  • Provides daily direction and oversight while implementing processes that aligns with the overall Iyuno’s business strategy;
  • Manages projects throughout the life cycle of the project while meeting time frames and producing quality assets;
  • Oversees team execution in accordance with project plans, tools, and methods;
  • Understands guidelines associated with clients and controlling quality so as to produce quality assets that adhere to client specifications;
  • Participates in the onboarding of new resources, training and providing feedback;
  • Uses existing contacts within the media or dubbing industry to help build up a network of talent pools;
  • Ensures that the projects assigned to the team are on track throughout the life cycle of the projects by providing timely response to new orders and keeping track of capacity and updating the main grid of project status;
  • Ensures internal stakeholders are updated on the internal aspects of the projects and flagging any potential or on-going issues;
  • Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance;
  • Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
  • Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines;
  • Manages daily operations and offer creative solutions to meet the required client/customer satisfaction; and
  • Performs other function-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising, or any related field
  • Work Experience: Must have at least 3-5 years of work experience in a related field or industry
  • Fluent in English both in written and spoken
  • Must have experience in dubbing industry
  • High attention to details
  • Able to work under pressure and minimal supervision
  • Outstanding communication and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, exercising diplomacy and sound judgment
  • Must have experience handling team and team’s performance
  • Good mentor and coach to inspire positive work output

  • Financial: Project Quotation within the profit margin • Increase team’s work capacity (% of profit margin/Number of hours per week/month)

  • Develop a technical know-how on the assigned team including creation of efficient workflow
  • Timely resolution of operational issues and challenges; identify the root cause of the problem and develop and effective corrective action/s
  • Manages the team’s productivity and performance and provides coaching, training or mentoring to ensure alignment with the performance goals
  • Consistent monitoring of operational dashboards and validating correctness of the information to be used for future decision
